Your Mykonos Babymoon

✈️ 10 hours (via Athens) from NYC🗓 Best: May–September🌍 Greece

Mykonos is a wonderful babymoon destination — combining natural beauty, world-class resorts, and the comfort and pampering that expecting couples deserve. Mykonos is Greece's most cosmopolitan island — a place where windmills and medieval Cycladic architecture meet world-class beach clubs, Michelin-starred dining, and an international nightlife scene that draws celebrities and party-goers from every corner of the world.

The Wedding Unicorn plans babymoons with an emphasis on safety, comfort, and relaxation. We verify that Mykonos resorts have prenatal spa services, recommend properties with easy beach or pool access, and ensure your accommodations are genuinely comfortable for all stages of pregnancy.

We choose direct or short-connection flights where possible, prioritize properties with room service and comfortable bed configurations, and build in enough downtime that your babymoon actually feels restorative. Mykonos by day is whitewashed perfection; by night it's the Mediterranean's most glamorous party — and both versions are equally unforgettable.

Best visited May–September, Mykonos offers windmills, Little Venice, beach clubs, nightlife, LGBTQ+-friendly — the perfect backdrop for your last great adventure before baby arrives.

7 Nights in Mykonos — Whitewashed Glamour on the Aegean

The world's most glamorous island: windmills above Little Venice, Nammos beach clubs, and Cycladic lanes that end at the sea

7 nights$10,000/couple per couple

Mykonos is the most unapologetically glamorous island in the Mediterranean — and it's entirely aware of it. The Chora (main town) is a labyrinth of whitewashed Cycladic lanes so narrow two people can barely pass, lined with bougainvillea and boutiques and ending unexpectedly at the sea or at a church the size of a closet. The windmills on the hill above Little Venice are one of the Aegean's most photographed silhouettes. The beaches on the island's south coast (Psarou, Paradise, Super Paradise, Nammos, Scorpios) have turned beach club culture into an art form — sunbed service, DJs, fresh seafood, and a crowd that takes its leisure extremely seriously. Mykonos works best as a combination of morning quiet (the town before 10am is one of Greece's great pleasures), beach afternoon, and evening dressed well.

1Arrival in Mykonos Town

Fly into Mykonos Airport (or arrive by high-speed ferry from Athens/Piraeus) and transfer to your hotel in or near the Chora. Check in, then immediately walk the town before the crowds arrive — the labyrinthine lanes of Mykonos are most beautiful in the late afternoon when the light turns golden and the whitewash glows. Walk to Little Venice for a pre-dinner drink at one of the cliff-edge bars where the Aegean laps the foundations of the buildings, then dinner in the Chora's maze of restaurant lanes.

  • First walk through the Cycladic lanes of the Chora
  • Sunset drinks at Little Venice — water lapping the foundations
  • Dinner among the windmills
🏨 Stay: Cavo Tagoo or Belvedere Hotel — Mykonos Town
2Windmills, Market, & Old Port

Morning coffee at a Chora cafe before 9am, when the town is yours — the morning light on whitewash is extraordinary and the lanes are navigable. Walk to the Kato Myli windmills at the town's edge — seven 16th-century Venetian windmills above Little Venice that are the island's most iconic image, at their best photographed from the water below in the morning. Pelican spotting in the Old Port (the town's famous resident pelican Petros patrols the harbor). Afternoon at Psarou Beach — a protected bay of calm turquoise water with the island's most upscale beach club, Nammos.

  • Kato Myli windmills at sunrise — the iconic shot
  • Pelican spotting at the Old Port
  • Psarou Beach and Nammos beach club lunch
🏨 Stay: Cavo Tagoo or Belvedere Hotel
3Day Trip to Delos

Delos is one of the most important archaeological sites in the ancient world — the mythological birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, once the religious and commercial center of the Aegean, now an uninhabited island 2km from Mykonos with some of the best-preserved ancient ruins in Greece. The Sacred Way, the Terrace of the Lions (marble replicas of the original Archaic-period lion statues), the mosaic House of Dionysus, and the dramatic Temple of Apollo all within walking distance of the small boat dock. Return by afternoon for a beach sunset.

  • Sacred Way and Temple of Apollo
  • Terrace of the Lions — iconic Archaic marble lions
  • House of Dionysus mosaic floors
  • The entire island is a UNESCO site — no one lives here
🏨 Stay: Cavo Tagoo or Belvedere Hotel
4Super Paradise & South Coast Beach Clubs

The south coast beaches are Mykonos's reason for summer existence. Super Paradise is the most dramatic — a horseshoe bay of crystal water against red volcanic cliffs, with a DJ booth and sunbed service that runs all afternoon. Scorpios further west takes a more spiritual, sunset-focused approach — day beds, live music that builds toward an extraordinary sunset ceremony, fresh mezze, and a crowd that comes specifically for the evening experience. Book Scorpios well in advance.

  • Super Paradise Beach — the classic Mykonos beach experience
  • Scorpios sunset ceremony and live music
  • Yacht-watching from the south coast
🏨 Stay: Cavo Tagoo or Belvedere Hotel
5Ano Mera Village & North Coast

Mykonos has a completely different face away from the Chora and the beach clubs — the island's interior and north coast are rural, quiet, and beautiful. Ano Mera is the island's only other village, centered on the 16th-century Monastery of Panagia Tourliani with its ornate marble fountain and Flemish-baroque iconostasis. The north coast road passes dramatic wind-scoured cliffs above a rough Aegean — completely different from the sheltered south. Afternoon back in the Chora for shopping in the luxury boutiques before a final evening in Little Venice.

  • Monastery of Panagia Tourliani in Ano Mera
  • North coast cliffs — empty, wild, beautiful
  • Shopping in the Chora's luxury lane
🏨 Stay: Cavo Tagoo or Belvedere Hotel
6Boat Charter & Hidden Beaches

Charter a small private boat for the day — the captain knows all the beaches inaccessible by road, the sea caves along the north coast, and the exact timing of the evening light. Visit Fokos Beach (completely undeveloped, no road access, extraordinary calm water), Mersini Beach on the east coast, and Agios Sostis (no music, no organized service, just excellent swimming and a single taverna). Return to the Chora for your last Mykonos evening.

  • Private boat charter to hidden beaches
  • Fokos Beach — pristine, no access by road
  • Sea caves along the north coast
  • Final Little Venice sunset
🏨 Stay: Cavo Tagoo or Belvedere Hotel
7Departure

Morning walk through the Chora one last time — buy sea sponges, local thyme honey, and a piece of Cycladic ceramics before heading to the airport or ferry port.

  • Final Chora morning walk
  • Local market shopping before departure
🏨 Stay: Departure day
